자료실에 We Really Do Need Each Other 라는 책이 올려져 있더군요.
CHAPTER FOUR
What Does It Mean To Love
Now here is what I have been saying-
you can tell I've teaching long enough
that I "loves" review.
Jesus brings to us,
into our world,
all the way into our world,
the very life of God.
And the life he brings is shared life
and it always creates a community.
It isn't Jesus and me,
it is Jesus and we.
We really do need each other.
God has made us this way.
The quality of life
within this fellowship of those
who share the life of Jesus
is to be one of openness
and confession
and honesty before him.
Jesus brings the life of the God
who is light.
This life we share
is to express itself outward
in the community of believers
in terms of love
I want to talk about that love.
Read the Word with me.
For this is the message
which we have heard from the beginning
that we should love one another,
and not be like Cain,
who was of the evil one and murdered his brother.
And why did he murder him?
Because his own deeds are evil
and his brother's righteous.
Do not wonder, brethren,
that the world hates you;
we know that we have passed out of death into life,
because we love the brethren.
He who does not love remains in death.
(Pretty strong words, aren't they?)
Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer.
I think he is saying,
now there are Cain an d Abel,
but let’s not talk Cain and Abel
let’s talk you and me.
Anyone who hates his brother is murderer.
And you know that no murderer
has eternal life abiding in him
By this we know love
that He laid down His life for us,
and we ought to lay down our lives
for the brethren.
(1 John 3:11-18)
What does it mean to love?
Let's take a look.
