사도행전 11장 15~18절

15 내가 말을 시작할 때에 성령이 그들에게 임하시기를 처음 우리에게 하신 것과 같이 하는지라 
16 내가 주의 말씀에 요한은 물로 세례를 베풀었으나 너희는 성령으로 세례를 받으리라 하신 것이 생각났노라 
17 그런즉 하나님이 우리가 주 예수 그리스도를 믿을 때에 주신 것과 같은 선물을 그들에게도 주셨으니 내가 누구이기에 하나님을 능히 막겠느냐 하더라 
18 그들이 이 말을 듣고 잠잠하여 하나님께 영광을 돌려 이르되 그러면 하나님께서 이방인에게도 생명 얻는 회개를 주셨도다 하니라   
 

15  As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them just as on us at the beginning.
16  And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, 'John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.'
17  If then God gave the same gift to them as he gave to us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could stand in God's way?"
18  When they heard these things they fell silent. And they glorified God, saying, "Then to the Gentiles also God has granted repentance that leads to life."

이사야 26장 1~4절

1 그 날에 유다 땅에서 이 노래를 부르리라 우리에게 견고한 성읍이 있음이여 여호와께서 구원을 성벽과 외벽으로 삼으시리로다  
2 너희는 문들을 열고 신의를 지키는 의로운 나라가 들어오게 할지어다  
3 주께서 심지가 견고한 자를 평강하고 평강하도록 지키시리니 이는 그가 주를 신뢰함이니이다  
4 너희는 여호와를 영원히 신뢰하라 주 여호와는 영원한 반석이심이로다  

1  In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: "We have a strong city; he sets up salvation as walls and bulwarks.
2  Open the gates, that the righteous nation that keeps faith may enter in.
3  You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
4  Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.
