9 내가 그들을 여러 백성들 가운데 흩으려니와 그들이 먼 곳에서 나를 기억하고 그들이 살아서 그들의 자녀들과 함께 돌아올지라 10 내가 그들을 애굽 땅에서 돌아오게 하며 그들을 앗수르에서부터 모으며 길르앗 땅과 레바논으로 그들을 이끌어 가리니 그들이 거할 곳이 부족하리라 11 내가 그들이 고난의 바다를 지나갈 때에 바다 물결을 치리니 나일의 깊은 곳이 다 마르겠고 앗수르의 교만이 낮아지겠고 애굽의 규가 없어지리라 12 내가 그들로 나 여호와를 의지하여 견고하게 하리니 그들이 내 이름으로 행하리라 나 여호와의 말이니

9 Though I scatter them among the peoples, yet in distant lands they will remember me. They and their children will survive, and they will return. 10 I will bring them back from Egypt and gather them from Assyria. I will bring them to Gilead and Lebanon, and there will not be room enough for them. 11 They will pass through the sea of trouble; the surging sea will be subdued and all the depths of the Nile will dry up. Assyria's pride will be brought down and Egypt's scepter will pass away. 12 I will strengthen them in the LORD and in his name they will walk,' declares the LORD.
