로마서 2:23-29
23 율법을 자랑하는 네가 율법을 범함으로 하나님을 욕되게 하느냐
24 기록된 바와 같이 하나님의 이름이 너희 때문에 이방인 중에서 모독을 받는도다
25 네가 율법을 행하면 할례가 유익하나 만일 율법을 범하면 네 할례는 무할례가 되느니라
26 그런즉 무할례자가 율법의 규례를 지키면 그 무할례를 할례와 같이 여길 것이 아니냐
27 또한 본래 무할례자가 율법을 온전히 지키면 율법 조문과 할례를 가지고 율법을 범하는 너를 정죄하지 아니하겠느냐
28 무릇 표면적 유대인이 유대인이 아니요 표면적 육신의 할례가 할례가 아니니라
29 오직 이면적 유대인이 유대인이며 할례는 마음에 할지니 영에 있고 율법 조문에 있지 아니한 것이라 그 칭찬이 사람에게서가 아니요 다만 하나님에게서니라

Romans 2:23-29
23  You who boast in the law dishonor God by breaking the law. 
24  For, as it is written, "The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you." 
25  For circumcision indeed is of value if you obey the law, but if you break the law, your circumcision becomes uncircumcision. 
26  So, if a man who is uncircumcised keeps the precepts of the law, will not his uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision? 
27  Then he who is physically uncircumcised but keeps the law will condemn you who have the written code and circumcision but break the law. 
28  For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. 
29  But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God.
