마3:11-12

11 나는 너희로 회개하게 하기 위하여 물로 세례를 베풀거니와 내 뒤에 오시는 이는 나보다 능력이 많으시니 나는 그의 신을 들기도 감당하지 못하겠노라 그는 성령과 불로 너희에게 세례를 베푸실 것이요
12 손에 키를 들고 자기의 타작 마당을 정하게 하사 알곡은 모아 곳간에 들이고 쭉정이는 꺼지지 않는 불에 태우시리라
11 'I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
12 His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.'

출33:15-23
15 모세가 여호와께 아뢰되 주께서 친히 가지 아니하시려거든 우리를 이 곳에서 올려 보내지 마옵소서
16 나와 주의 백성이 주의 목전에 은총 입은 줄을 무엇으로 알리이까 주께서 우리와 함께 행하심으로 나와 주의 백성을 천하 만민 중에 구별하심이 아니니이까
17 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 네가 말하는 이 일도 내가 하리니 너는 내 목전에 은총을 입었고 내가 이름으로도 너를 앎이니라
18 모세가 이르되 원하건대 주의 영광을 내게 보이소서
19 여호와께서 이르시되 내가 내 모든 선한 것을 네 앞으로 지나가게 하고 여호와의 이름을 네 앞에 선포하리라 나는 은혜 베풀 자에게 은혜를 베풀고 긍휼히 여길 자에게 긍휼을 베푸느니라
20 또 이르시되 네가 내 얼굴을 보지 못하리니 나를 보고 살 자가 없음이니라
21 여호와께서 또 이르시기를 보라 내 곁에 한 장소가 있으니 너는 그 반석 위에 서라
22 내 영광이 지나갈 때에 내가 너를 반석 틈에 두고 내가 지나도록 내 손으로 너를 덮었다가
23 손을 거두리니 네가 내 등을 볼 것이요 얼굴은 보지 못하리라
15 Then Moses said to him, 'If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.
16 How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?'
17 And the LORD said to Moses, 'I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.'
18 Then Moses said, 'Now show me your glory.'
19 And the LORD said, 'I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
20 But,' he said, 'you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.'
21 Then the LORD said, 'There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock.
22 When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by.
23 Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.'

요4:35

35 너희는 넉 달이 지나야 추수할 때가 이르겠다 하지 아니하느냐 그러나 나는 너희에게 이르노니 너희 눈을 들어 밭을 보라 희어져 추수하게 되었도다
35 Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.

마13:47-50

47 또 천국은 마치 바다에 치고 각종 물고기를 모는 그물과 같으니
48 그물에 가득하매 물 가로 끌어 내고 앉아서 좋은 것은 그릇에 담고 못된 것은 내버리느니라
49 세상 끝에도 이러하리라 천사들이 와서 의인 중에서 악인을 갈라 내어
50 풀무 불에 던져 넣으리니 거기서 울며 이를 갈리라
47 'Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish.
48 When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away.
49 This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous
50 and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
