A Depressed Family to a Happy Family!

As I watched my parents’ lives unfold, I used to think, “Is this what life is supposed to be like? Then why do I have to live? This is so unfair!” 

I would hug my mother tightly and say, "Mom, let's just kill ourselves!" or "Let's run away, far away from Dad!"

My sister started seeing a therapist in college, and my brother meandered in his life for a long time. I always used to wish that there was someone who could help my family, someone who could save my mom, but my family’s future felt absolutely hopeless. 

People say that it is hard for kids who grew up in unhappy families to have normal families of their own. But I believe that when Jesus becomes your Lord, unhappiness in the family is over. 

Now I have the happiest and most loving family in the world. It became possible because I've learned how to love through the risen Jesus.
